We buy every kind of aluminum
Aluminum is light, so it takes a lot of it to add up, but it’s one of the easiest metals to collect. Many of our customers save cans and household aluminum for months, then bring it all in at once.
Like every metal, aluminum is graded by type and cleanliness. Alloy wheels, extrusions and clean sheet pay more than mixed or “irony” aluminum that still has steel screws, hinges or brackets attached.
Bring your material Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM, in a vehicle with a valid license plate, along with a valid state-issued photo ID. No appointment needed.
Grades we buy
- Aluminum cans. Empty beverage cans. Crushed is fine; please empty them and keep out trash and glass.
- Aluminum extrusion. Clean window and door frames, screen frames and other extruded shapes, with glass, rubber, screws and plastic removed.
- Aluminum wheels. Clean aluminum car and truck rims with tires, weights and valve stems removed.
- Aluminum (sheet and cast). Clean siding, gutters, sheet, pots and pans, lawn furniture frames and cast aluminum without steel attached.
- Irony aluminum. Aluminum with steel still attached, such as lawn mower decks with bolts, or aluminum parts with steel brackets.
- Clean zinc. Clean zinc die-cast and sheet, kept separate from aluminum.
How to get the best price
- Remove steel. Use a magnet: if it sticks, it isn’t aluminum. Unscrew steel brackets, hinges and bolts to move your aluminum out of the irony grade.
- Take out plastic, rubber and glass. Window frames and storm doors pay much more once the glass, vinyl and gaskets are out.
- Bag cans separately. Keep cans in their own bags so we can weigh them quickly.
- Pull tires off rims. Rims with tires are graded much lower.

Yes, we gladly buy aluminum cans. Empty them and bring them in bags, kept separate from other aluminum.
How do I know if it’s aluminum?
Aluminum is light, silver-gray and not magnetic. If a magnet sticks, the piece is steel, or it has steel attached.
Do you buy aluminum boat parts and docks?
Yes, clean aluminum from boats, docks, ramps and trailers is welcome. Remove wood, plastic and steel hardware for the best price. Call ahead for large pieces.
What is irony aluminum?
Irony aluminum is aluminum with steel still attached, like bolts, brackets or hinges. We buy it, but at a lower price than clean aluminum.
