Radiator and AC coil recycling
Scrap radiator prices
Copper-aluminum AC coils, car and truck radiators, and ACR ends. Radiators are worth far more than steel, especially when they’re clean.
Clean vs. dirty radiators
HVAC contractors replace a lot of condensers and air handlers at the shore, and the coils inside are valuable. Most AC coils are copper tubing with aluminum fins, so they’re priced well above steel.
The big difference is whether the radiator is “clean” or “dirty.” A clean radiator has all steel brackets, shrouds and frames removed. A dirty radiator still has steel attached and pays less.
Bring your material Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM, in a vehicle with a valid license plate, along with a valid state-issued photo ID. No appointment needed.
Grades we buy
- Clean AC radiators (copper-aluminum). Copper-tube, aluminum-fin coils with all steel removed.
- Dirty AC radiators. Copper-aluminum coils with steel brackets, end plates or frames still attached.
- Clean brass radiators. Older-style brass and copper car and truck radiators, drained, with steel brackets and plastic removed.
- Aluminum radiators. Modern aluminum car radiators, drained, with plastic tanks removed for the best price.
- ACR ends. The copper-aluminum ends cut off of AC coils.
How to get the best price
- Remove steel brackets, shrouds and frames to move dirty coils into the clean grade.
- Drain coolant from car radiators.
- Bring condensers evacuated. Whole AC units must have the refrigerant recovered by a licensed technician first.

Radiator questions
What makes a radiator “clean”?
A clean radiator has no steel attached: brackets, end plates, shrouds and frames are removed. Clean radiators pay more than dirty ones.
Do you buy whole air conditioners?
Yes, once the refrigerant has been removed by a licensed HVAC technician. Sealed units are bought by the pound. See appliances.
Do you buy car radiators?
Yes, brass and aluminum car and truck radiators. Drain them first and remove plastic tanks and steel brackets for the best price.
