Battery and lead recycling
Scrap car battery & lead prices
Car, truck and marine batteries contain lead that’s almost entirely recyclable. We buy lead-acid batteries and clean scrap lead by the pound.
Recycle old batteries safely
Lead-acid batteries should never go in the trash. The lead and plastic are recycled into new batteries, and the acid is neutralized. Bringing them to a recycler keeps them out of landfills and puts a little cash in your pocket.
We also buy clean scrap lead such as wheel weights, flashing and fishing weights.
Bring your material Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM, in a vehicle with a valid license plate, along with a valid state-issued photo ID. No appointment needed.
Grades we buy
- Car and truck batteries. Lead-acid automotive, truck, marine and lawn tractor batteries, whole and intact.
- Lead. Clean scrap lead, including wheel weights, lead sheet and flashing, and fishing weights.
How to get the best price
- Keep batteries upright and transport them in a plastic tub or on a mat so acid can’t leak.
- Don’t crack or drain them. Bring batteries whole.
- Keep lead separate from steel and other metals.
