Appliance recycling in Cape May County

Scrap appliance recycling

Washers, dryers, dishwashers, water heaters, furnaces, stoves and AC units. We buy appliances for their metal, and computers by the piece.

What we buy

We accept dishwashers, dryers and washing machines at a fixed price, and we purchase water heaters, furnaces, stoves and radiators. Most appliances are bought at the light iron price, while sealed AC units and compressors have their own price below.

We don’t pick up appliances, so please bring them to the yard in a vehicle with a valid license plate.

Bring your material Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM, in a vehicle with a valid license plate, along with a valid state-issued photo ID. No appointment needed.

Grades we buy

  • Washers, dryers and dishwashers. Bought at a fixed price.
  • Water heaters, furnaces, stoves. Bought by weight, typically at the light iron price.
  • Sealed units. AC compressors and sealed refrigeration units, with refrigerant removed.
  • Computers. Desktop computers, priced each.

How to get the best price

  • Have the Freon removed first. Refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, window units and AC systems must be evacuated by a licensed HVAC professional before we can accept them.
  • Drain water heaters and washing machines.
  • Remove food, trash and loose items.
  • Pull the copper and aluminum. If you’re handy, the motor, copper tubing and wiring inside some appliances can be worth more sold separately.

The Freon rule

We can’t accept any appliance that still contains refrigerant. Releasing refrigerant into the air is illegal under federal law and can bring heavy EPA fines, so never cut lines or try to remove it yourself. A licensed HVAC technician can recover it safely.
